More than a dozen local farmers know the time is plum ripe to let you indulge in summer's first fruits Saturday June 23rd from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Bask in the heady scent of organic stone fruit as you savor 60 varieties of peaches, plums, pluots, nectarines and apricots. MOA Oasis Garden at 5790 N. Indianola Ave. , Clovis, CA 93619 hosts this annual event that brings farmers and the local community together. Tickets are $5 and kids under 12 are free. Highlights include Fruit Tasting and Sales, Farm Tours, Kids Craft corner, Workshops including a Jam Making demonstration, Japanese Tea Ceremony, Flower Arranging and a Recipe Contest in 3 categories: Stone fruit drinks, Artisan treats and Pies. The public is invited to celebrate stone fruit grown the organic way here in the valley since 1889! Buy fruit direct from farmers like Peterson Farms, Olson Organics, and Blossom Bluff Orchards. Purchase prepared Artisan foods like fruit pies from Fresno's Chicken Pie Shop, pastries from La Boulangerie, entrees from Dusty Buns, fruit drinks from Organic Fresno, savories from Sierra Nut House and fresh fruit ice cream from La Reina de Michoacan. Winners will receive $50 gift certificates to Organic Fresno or Blossom Bluff Orchards.
