The history, art and culture of African-Americans in the greater Central Valley are featured. Rotating and permanent displays concerning African-American history and culture as well as interpretive displays describing the lives and times of San Joaquin Valley African-American leaders.

Arte Americas is the largest Latino Cultural Arts Center in the San Joaquin Valley, promoting visual, performing and literary arts in four gallery spaces, museum space and outdoor plaza. Arte Americas sponsors art workshops, dance lessons, children’s theater, history lessons and various other workshops pertinent to the Latino and indigenous people.

The California Memorial Museum displays hundreds of items donated from the FDNY, NYPD and Port Authority Police Department to Pelco Chairman David McDonald following the attacks of Sept. 11. This unique collection includes an American flag flown by the FDNY at Ground Zero, debris recovered at the World Trade Center site, an FDNY firefighter uniform worn during recovery operations, as well as hundreds of photos and other memorabilia.

This is the first-ever Hmong historical museum and center in the nation. It is dedicated to gathering, preserving, educating and sharing works of history, culture, art and literature, as well as serving as a venue for a wide array of cultural events and activities celebrating the Hmong-American experience.
