Sequoia
Sequoia National Park
Sequoia is the park of superlatives, with the largest living thing – the General Sherman tree, and the highest point in the contiguous United States – Mount Whitney. Add Wuksachi Village to that and you have all the ingredients for a year-round destination. The lodge forms the center of the village and features guest registration, a dining room and lounge, a themed gift shop and conference facilities. Three detached lodge buildings house 102 guest rooms offering spectacular views of Mt. Silliman and Silver Peak. Furnishings are deluxe and distinctive and feature parkthemed appointments and décor. Accommodations are in three price categories: standard, deluxe and superior.
Take Highway 180 east to Clovis Avenue where the highway currently ends. Turn right on Clovis Avenue and travel south to Kings Canyon Road (180). Turn left onto Kings Canyon Road/180 and travel east all the way to the park entrance (about 53 miles). Sequoia and Kings Canyon share the same park entrance gates. Past the entrance, turn right at the “Y” to enter Sequoia National Park.
