Partner Testimonials
On January 24th, Milla Vineyards and Pop Laval Gallery partnered up to host Milla Vineyard's launch party for their wine club. It was a huge success. Many people attended who had never visited the gallery before and a few that had never tried Milla Vineyard's wines. I have received several emails and calls telling me how wonderful it was. Since Milla Vineyards is all about heritage, what better place that to be surrounded by Fresno's heritage.
If it weren't for the CVB this partnership probably would not have ever happened. It was our pleasure to work with another member who helped us out tremedously and we strongly encourage everyone to step out of the box and do the same. In this time we all need to help each other out so people will get out and discover new things, remember old favorites, and band together to show people how resiliant Fresno is.

The Shaver Lake Chamber of Commerce, representing the Eastern Sierra Nevada resort areas, is extremely pleased with the power and the performance of the existing board, and employees of the Fresno County & City Conventions & Visitors Bureau,or C.V.B. Our relationship with the C.V.B. , and those of other Fresno County Chamber of Commerce’s, has resulted in a very effective, and very successful ‘on-going’ marketing campaign including radio in multiple California markets, print ads, Website information, and productive and informative seminars.
This 2009 winter season, the C.V.B. teamed with the Shaver Chamber, Sierra Summit Ski Resort, and for the first time, Amtrac, in producing several radio commercials entitled, ‘Snow Package Get-A-Way.’ The campaign which ran on radio stations in Bakersfield was intended to promote the ease of taking the train to the Fresno downtown train station and catching a ride up to the ski resort. It also included a package deal to stay at various hotels, inns and bed & breakfasts, plus an over view of dining choices in the Fresno and Shaver Lake areas.
Our recent survey has shown that this campaign worked extremely well increasing the tourism to our area as well as a measured increase in skiers to Sierra Summit. It shows that a cooperative marketing effort, backed by a confident and experienced team, can indeed increase tourism into Fresno County. We look forward to continuing our successful relationship with FCVB.Greg Elliott, President Elect
